Jones and Onslow counties get USDA disaster designation

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated Jones and Onslow counties as primary natural disaster areas due to damages and losses caused by excessive rain and flooding that began July 3 and continues. Farmers and ranchers in Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Lenoir and Pender counties also qualify for natural disaster assistance because their counties are contiguous. […]
