Helping North Carolina Agriculture Reach Global Markets

At the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, we are dedicated to helping our farmers and agribusinesses connect with global markets. Every day, we have a front row seat to the hard work that defines North Carolina agriculture, and our products are ready to be shared beyond our state and country. That’s why we are thrilled to partner with SUSTA (Southern United Sates Trade Association) to bring the In-Country Consultant Seminar to the triangle on Dec. 8. The event is more than just a seminar. It is a hands-on way to help businesses take the leap from domestic to global.

“North Carolina agriculture has a story to tell, and exporting lets us share it with the world,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “By connecting our farmers and agribusinesses with international markets, we support individual businesses and strengthen the state’s agricultural economy.”

The seminar will connect SUSTA members with consultants from Africa, Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, China, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Mexico and South America by providing companies access to insider market knowledge, expert advice and real-world strategies for being successful in the world of exporting. Opening doors to international buyers is not just something we talk about, it is something we are committed to making happen. Over the years, we have seen North Carolina companies grow from selling their products at local farmers markets to shipping worldwide.

“This seminar is part of our mission to help companies reach new heights, and we are honored to host this event,” said Amanda Hill, international marketing specialist at NCDA&CS.
