Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler sits down each week with Southern Farm Network’s Rhonda Garrison to discuss “Today’s Topic.”
The Census of Agriculture is conducted every five years by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and it provides a comprehensive snapshot of U.S. agriculture as well as state numbers. Packets will go out in December to farmers.
The information collected is important to policy makers at the local, state and federal levels, to researchers, agribusinesses, trade associations and also farmers because it helps them make informed decisions with verifiable data.
