Edna Anglero was named the NCDA&CS Employee of the Month for February.

Edna Anglero, a forest management secretary for the N.C. Forest Service, was named Employee of the Month for February 2013. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler recognized Anglero for her hard work and dedication during a recent meeting in Raleigh.

Anglero provides administrative support to the Forest Management Program in District 6, which covers Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Robeson and Sampson counties. In addition, she has improved the efficiency and effectiveness of project tracking for the program. In nominating Anglero for this honor, her co-workers described her great attitude and customer service:

Recently a landowner came to the office to get a burning permit while Edna was at lunch. While I was writing his permit, he told me about how enjoyable it is to come into this office and talk with Edna while she writes his permits. He comes in for a piece of paper, and leaves with a smile on his face and an enjoyable conversation with a wonderful woman.
