World Wetlands Day: N.C. Wetlands are Wonderful

Today is World Wetlands Day, celebrating the important role of wetlands in our environment. Last year’s theme for N.C. Soil and Water Conservation Districts’ education contests was Wetlands are Wonderful. Students from across the state took part in learning about wetlands and then competed in poster design competitions, slide show presentations and public speaking on local, regional and statewide levels.
