In the Kitchen with Brian and Lisa: Pecan Cranberry Rolls

by | Dec 13, 2012

WRAL reporter Brian Shrader and our own Lisa Prince feature seasonal recipes in their Got to Be Good Cookin’ segment using ingredients grown and available right here in North Carolina.

Brian and Lisa offer simple appetizer recipes to help you calm the chaos this holiday season. The first recipe for Pecan Cranberry Rolls comes from Gail Fuller of Raleigh. Fuller won a blue ribbon in the N.C. Pecan Growers Association cooking contest at the N.C. State Fair for this appetizer.

The rolls are made with N.C. pecans, bacon, cranberries, green onions and cream cheese. Together, the ingredients create a nice balance of sweet and savory flavors. The best part is the rolls can be made the night before your holiday party, saving you time and hopefully a little stress.

Remember to shop local this holiday season. From seasonal produce to specialty products, when you want the best it’s “Got to Be N.C.” You can find local products near you by searching the North Carolina General Store, the department’s online directory for everything local.
