WRAL reporter Brian Shrader and our own Lisa Prince feature seasonal recipes in their Got to Be Good Cookin’ segment using ingredients grown and available right here in North Carolina.
This week, WRAL morning anchor Kelcey Carlson shares her grandmother’s recipe for Pineapple Upside-Down Cake. The family favorite has stood the test of time, though the recipe card wasn’t as lucky. The sheet with the recipe was so faded, Carlson had to guess at some of the steps. Fortunately, her guesses paid off and the result is, as Brian Shrader describes it, “a simple, old-fashioned, solid pineapple upside-down cake.”
