Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler sits down each week with Southern Farm Network’s Rhonda Garrison to discuss “Today’s Topic.”
This week, Rhonda Garrison and Commissioner Troxler are joined by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation Chief Executive Officer Brad Wilson to talk about how a $1.2 million grant will help school children learn more about agriculture and eating healthy. The grant will allow the NCDA&CS Food Distribution Division expand the Farm to School program into more schools with the purchase of five new tractor trailers. The grant also will support an educational initiative to teach children about agriculture and where their food comes from.
