Ag Voices: Summer Plans

Our Ag Voices series focuses on young people preparing for a career in agriculture. The series highlights what the students are learning in the classroom and how they plan to apply those lessons to future challenges in the agriculture industry.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a full academic year since we first sat down with sophomores Daniel Alvey, Matt Currin and Alycia McLamb for our initial Ag Voices post. Over the past eight months, they have researched the values of organic and conventional farming techniques, learned how to balance school, work and extracurricular activities and gained firsthand knowledge on starting their own nursery business.

We caught up with them last week as they prepared for their final exams to see what was in store for each of them this summer. Check out the videos below to see their plans:
