Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler presents Travis Snodgrass with the Employee of the Month award for March 2012.
Robert Travis Snodgrass, a pesticide inspector with the department’s Structural Pest Control and Pesticides Division, was recognized as the March 2012 Employee of the Month during a recent ceremony in Raleigh.
Snodgrass has served as a member of the division’s Mi-Forms team, which has catapulted the division from a paper-based inspection program to an electronic, paperless system that utilizes 21st century technology. The transition to Mi-Forms has helped the division reduce its workflow process by 2-3 weeks, saving time and money on paper and postage.
Here’s an excerpt from his recommendation letter:
Travis has been instrumental in successfully navigating our division’s venture into the world of electronic data capture and transmission. Through his yeoman-like service on our division’s Mi-Forms team, he has proven himself to be a tech-savvy leader in this realm of work. Travis brings his superlative knowledge of computer software and hardware to our division’s service, and makes everyone’s adventure with electronics a more pleasant and ultimately, rewarding experience.
The division was recently named Mi-Forms User of the Year by the manufacturer of the software system, Mobile Information Corporation. No doubt, this would not have been possible without Snodgrass’ efforts. Congratulations!
