In the Kitchen with Brian and Lisa: Dijon-Wine Steak Kabobs

by | Apr 19, 2012

WRAL reporter Brian Shrader and our own Lisa Prince feature seasonal recipes in their Got to Be Good Cookin’ segment using ingredients grown and available right here in North Carolina.

Brian and Lisa continue a month of beef recipes with this one for Dijon-Wine Steak Kabobs. The steak is marinated for six hours in a combination of coarse Dijon mustard, garlic, vegetable oil, red-wine vinegar and pepper. On skewers, alternate the marinated pieces of steak with vegetables of your choice. This recipe calls for an onion, squash and bell pepper, but Lisa also recommends trying it with zucchini, mushroom or tomato.

You can find fresh N.C. beef and other locally grown ingredients for this recipe at area farmers markets and roadside stands. To find a location near you, go to www.ncfarmfresh.com.
