WRAL reporter Brian Shrader and our own Lisa Prince feature seasonal recipes in their Got to Be Good Cookin’ segment using ingredients grown and available right here in North Carolina.
This week, Brian and Lisa prepare a simple and delicious dessert you can make with your kids during the upcoming holiday season. The recipe, submitted by WRAL anchor Kelcey Carlson, is a twist on traditional rice crisp treats. Instead of butter and marshmallows, Kelcey’s recipe calls for brown sugar, milk chocolate chips and peanut butter. The treats also are sweetened with blue agave sweetener, which is similar to honey.
Don’t forget to try the other WRAL dessert recipes, including last week’s pineapple delight cake, at your next holiday meal.
