As the holiday season approaches, the WRAL staff shares their favorite family dessert recipes. Brian Shrader kicks things off with this recipe for Pineapple Delight Cake.
To make, start by preparing a yellow cake mix according to the package directions. Next, bring pineapple and sugar to a boil in saucepan until blended, and coat the cake with the mixture. Do this step while the cake is still hot. Then, allow the cake to cool. After it’s cool, add a layer of prepared vanilla pudding. Finally, spread one large container of whipped topping over the cake and garnish with coconut and pecans.
