Today’s Topic: Got to Be NC Festival comes to State Fairgrounds May 20-22

Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler sits down each week with Southern Farm Network’s Rhonda Garrison to discuss “Today’s Topic.”

Southern Farm Network logoThis week, Commissioner Troxler and Rhonda talk about the fourth annual Got to Be NC Festival, which will take place May 20-22 at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.

The festival promotes N.C. agricultural products and celebrates the state’s farming heritage. Festival attractions will include the Food &  Wine Expo, Masons’ Carolina Pig Jig, the Amran Shriners’ N.C. Fish Fry, carnival rides, live music, children’s activities and about 1,000 pieces of antique farm equipment. In the grandstand, there will be a lumberjack show, a draft horse pull and Border collie herding demonstrations.

Admission and parking for the festival are free.
