The Best Dish contest, sponsored by the NCDA&CS and Our State magazine, recognizes and rewards the efforts of chefs who use North Carolina products regularly in their menus. It raises awareness of local foods, restaurants and chefs.

Contestants must feature their dish or combination of dishes in their restaurant for at least four weeks between now and the end of September. Winners will be announced in November.

Click below to listen to Commissioner Troxler and Rhonda discuss the contest, how the finalists were chosen and why being a judge would be a fun job. You can find out more about the finalists — and their social media presence — by checking out our previous blog post about the contest.
