WRAL reporter Brian Shrader and our own Lisa Prince feature seasonal recipes in their Got to Be Good Cookin’ segment using ingredients grown and available right here in North Carolina.
Kid-friendly recipes should be simple, include just a few ingredients and be fun to make. Brian and Lisa’s recipe for breakfast pizza fits that description, and is a great way to get children involved in the kitchen. To prepare the pizza, cook sausage, potatoes, eggs and your choice of vegetables in a frying pan. Next, spread the cooked ingredients on a preheated pizza crust. Finally, top the pizza with cheese and bake in the oven until the cheese is melted.
The pizza works well for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you are feeding a crowd, try other In the Kitchen recipes for steak pizza and fruit pizza.
