Wrapping up a month of beef-inspired recipes, Brian and Lisa share a hamburger creation from the N.C. State Fair that does not include Krispy Kreme doughnuts. This recipe for burger rolls was created by John Norris of Cary and took first place in last year’s cooking contest. It features beef, pimento cheese and raspberry chipotle sauce. This combination is wrapped tightly in an egg roll casing and sauteed in a pan. The raspberry chipotle sauce adds just a hint of sweetness to this otherwise savory appetizer.
