WRAL reporter Brian Shrader and our own Lisa Prince feature seasonal recipes in their Got to Be Good Cookin’ segment using ingredients grown and available right here in North Carolina.
Brian and Lisa provide a filling stuffed pork chop recipe that is sure to help you thaw out from the cold. In the recipe, butterflied pork chops are stuffed with mozzarella cheese, celery, peppers and spices. The chops are then pan seared, topped with an onion broth and baked in the oven for an hour. The final result is a mouth-watering cut of meat that can satisfy a long winter’s hunger.
Ingredients for this recipe and others can be found at your local farmers market or roadside stand. To find a location near you, go to www.ncfarmfresh.com.
