Southern Farm Network logoIf it’s winter, it’s time for the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ annual Ag Development Forum. The sixth annual forum is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. The event is free and will take place in the Holshouser Building. Lunch will be provided.

Keynote speaker will be economist Matthew Martin of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s Charlotte branch. He’s going to give an economic outlook for agriculture. The forum also will feature an industry roundtable on agricultural input costs, the unveiling of the agricultural water resources strategic plan, and Commissioner Troxler’s annual State of Agriculture address.

The forum is sponsored by Altria and the N.C. Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation.

Listen as Commissioner Troxler and Rhonda talk about this forum and how you can register for it.
