We have an extensive collection of photos taken over the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ history. In our Photos from the Field posts, we’ll pull some of these snapshots out of our archives and take a look back at pieces of North Carolina’s agricultural heritage. We’ll do our best to research the “who, what, when and wheres” of these photos, but if you have more information, please leave us a comment.

Beyond the N.C. State Fair, the State Fairgrounds has hosted a variety of year-round events throughout its history. One of those long-standing relationships, Raleigh Flea Market, re-opens Saturday, Nov. 7, at 9 a.m. After the N.C. State Fair’s 11-day run, flea market vendors will once again re-open their shops, where you can buy swing sets, salsa and so much more. Check out the Raleigh Flea Market Web site or give them a call at 919-899-3532.
