“Farm Fresh Family Day” is coming to the N.C. Museum of History in downtown Raleigh on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will bring a lot of farm-related activities to the city and offer something for all ages. You can take a hayride, churn butter, go on a scavenger hunt, see antique farm equipment, watch cooking demonstrations, and a lot more. Admission and parking are free.

Agriculture is a $70 billion industry in North Carolina, but a lot of residents don’t have a connection to farming anymore, Troxler says. Events such as “Farm Fresh Family Day” help educate people about agriculture’s importance to the state.
