New course offers social networking advice for agribusinesses

For first-time users, social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace can be challenging to master. Luckily, Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College has a new course that will give N.C. agribusinesses the needed tools to use social networking sites to cultivate their companies. Offered by the Small Business Center, the Social Networking for Agribusiness class will teach students how to increase visibility, strengthen branding and generate more sales for their agribusiness on the Internet.

The six-hour course will present an overview of effective social networking sites and specific Facebook tools, as well as options for producing and distributing online audio and video content.

When: Wednesday, July 15, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: Enka Campus, Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, Candler

Cost: $30
