NCDA&CS Veterinary laboratories have been undergoing some major upgrades in the past five years, with the latest upgrades slated to be complete by the end of this month. This will add a second Bio-Security Level 3 laboratory to an existing BSL-3 lab at the Rollins Veterinary Disease Diagnostic Laboratory in Raleigh. These fully contained laboratories allow for testing of certain diseases within a secure setting. Commissioner Troxler explains why this is not only important for animal health, but human health as well. Listen in as they discuss Today’s Topic.
