March 15-21 marks National Agriculture Awareness Week and Alpha Zeta, an honors agriculture fraternity at N.C. State University, kicked things off with an event Monday in NCSU’s Brickyard.
The event serves to increase awareness and appreciation of agriculture on campus, and the campus’ central meeting area is loaded up with equipment, livestock and displays.
Commissioner Troxler and WQDR Morning Crew’s Mike Raley rolled into the brickyard in the Got to Be NC Big Cart to compete in the event’s annual milking contest. It was a close race, but the Commissioner edged Raley out and filled his cup faster than the radio host.
